The Otago Literary Agency is among the five Italian agencies (and eight international ones) selected to participate in the upcoming edition of the Book Adaptation Rights Market, scheduled from August 30 to September 1, 2024, as part of the Venice Production Bridge of the 81st International Film Festival organized by La Biennale di Venezia.

This is an important achievement to strengthen the agency’s presence among the major international players in the sale of copyright aimed at the production of films and TV series.

As indicated on the website of the Venetian film festival, “following the call issued on January 15, 30 international publishing houses and literary agencies have been selected for the Book Adaptation Rights Market plus 3 for the VPB Focuses […] The Venice Production Bridge will provide selected publishing houses and agencies with a dedicated area to meet, through one-to-one meetings, the producers present at the International Film Festival of Venice. These meetings will provide the opportunity to develop lasting relationships and, of course, to conclude agreements regarding the film adaptation of novels, dramas, children’s literature, short stories, comics, graphic novels, essays, and biographies.”

Here is the complete list of publishers and literary agencies selected for this edition of the Book Adaptation Rights Market, who will meet various production companies present at the Lido:
